Responsibilities included:  evaluation and management of pediatric inpatient and outpatient bone marrow transplant patients, including but not limited to assisting in donor selection via HLA matching, assisted in pre-transplant evaluations, prepared orders for conditioning regimens, first assist in OR for bone marrow harvests on related donors as well as collection of cells or the National Marrow Donor Program.  Administered bone marrow cells and PBSCs to recipients, managed side effects of conditioning therapies as well as complications, monitored the need for blood products and appropriate antibiotic coverage, patient/family/staff education, discharge planning, post-transplant evaluations and end of life care.
