Trained in the practice and theory of Advanced Practice Nursing for acute and chronically ill patients.  Completed over 800 hours of clinical work in the hospital setting primarily in the Intensive Care Units.  Extensive training in performing critical care procedures.  Performed H & Ps for all new admissions in the hospitalist and cardiology settings.  Managed initial and follow up care for the trauma service.  Completed entire course of care for patients in the ER from admission to the ER through discharge and/or admission to the hospital.  This included interpretation of diagnostic and laboratory tests, performing any procedures required, presenting results to patient, and presenting the patient to the admitting physician. Extensive RN experience in Emergency Departments including relief charge nurse as well as staff nurse.
