Management of oncological emergencies included spinal cord compression, hypercalcemia, dehydration, malignant effusions, and infectious complications. Other responsibilities included hospital rounds and weekend call. Had daily exposure to reading x-ray, CT and MRI films. Attended a weekly tumor board meeting.
Procedures performed: bone marrow biopsies, skin biopsies, fine needle aspiration, lumbar puncture, intrathecal administration of chemotherapy and phlebotomy.
