Second year fellow in cardiothoracic surgery. Involvement in all aspects of cardiac and thoracic surgery.  Completing rotation at VA which offers a significant independence in overall training. Thoracic exposure is enhanced by the large volume of lung transplant performed each year.

Work Experience:

• VATS lobectomy program at Major East Cost Hospital: Attended various VATS training courses. Involved with initial VATS lobectomy program 2008. Involved in the initial VATs lobes with Chief Surgeon.

• Instructor:  At Medical School, Dept. of Biological and Biomedical Sciences 2001-2003. Research investigator/ Clinical Instructor. 

Academic Achievements:

• High School Valedictorian
• 1^st position in resident paper competition, American College of Surgeons (ACS) CT chapter
• 2^nd position in resident essay/ oral presentation at NESS, New England Surgical Society
• 2^nd position in resident presentations/ essay, American College of Surgeons (ACS)  CT chapter
• ATOM certified (Advanced Trauma Operative Management) 2007, Large East Coast Hospital
